Thiruvananthapuram Bus Station: Thiruvananthapuram bus station is opposite to Thiruvananthapuram railway station. If you take a bus to Industrial Estate, you can get down in front of the main gate of NIIST. During the journey, please look for the Sree Chithira Thirinnal College of Engineering on your right and the Pappanamcode Bus Depot on your left. Immediately after the depot, the bus takes a left turn on to the Industrial Estate road. It's a straight road that leads you to NIIST and please ask the conductor/driver to help you alight at CSIR-NIIST. If you take a bus to Pappanamcode, get down at Pappanamcode junction and hire an auto rickshaw, expect a ride from the junction to be about 5 min. There is also a prepaid auto rickshaw service available from the bus station. Driving to CSIR-NIIST: Pappanamcode is located on the Kanyakumari-Kochi-Panvel Highway (NH 66), approximately 5 km from the city centre and the central railway station. From Pappanamcode, take a turn to the Industrial Estate road and drive for almost 1 km. You will see the main gate of CSIR-NIIST to your left.
